Find the derivative of: (L+m)(V+n)=k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

derivative with respect to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dV/dL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m, n, k are constants?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\large (L+m)(V+n)=k \] \[\large \frac{d}{dL}[L+m]\cdot (V+n)+(L+m)\cdot \frac{d}{dL}[V+n]=0 \] \[\large 1\cdot (V+n)+(L+m)\cdot \frac{dV}{dL}=0 \] can you take it from here to solve for dV/dL ?

maybe a better way would've been to just multiply out the binomials firs.... it don't matter, the answer should be the same...
