does anyone know if it's possible to download AUTOCAD 2006 and if so, where?

i don't know. the ones we use in class is 2006 and i think it just seems right that that is the one i use too..but i guess i can try newer versions too..

Thanks for your reply.
Just follow the simple steps -
1. Go to (students.autodesk.com).
2. Register and create a free account.
3.Go to the tab - Free Software
4. Select AutoCAD and select the version and the OS you want to install it into.
5.Click to download.
6. You will be given your Serial No. and Product Id. Keep them safely as you need them during installation.
7. Begin the download.
8. Once the download is over, extract the package and begin the installation.
9. Give your serial no. and product key as issued by Autodesk.
10. Once it has installed, activate the product online by logging into your Autodesk Account which you created before downloading the software when the product automatically asks you to.
11. Enter address and other relevant details when asked.
12.Your license will be activated.

However you need to renew the license every 3 years when prompted to show that you use the software.

I feel that all new versions are also able to support the files supported in the older version.

Oh, actually I am a member of their community and a aircraft designer, so, I keep downloading softwares from Autodesk.
