slope question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have the coordinates of (0,d) and (d,0). Would the slope be d/d or 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No you are near but you are making a little mistake..

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

\[\LARGE slope = \frac{0 - d}{d - 0}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you subtract (0-d) then for x also you subtract (d-0)..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well using the equation of |dw:1340931409387:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-d/d is -1, not 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Slope = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but when writing a slope would i leave it in fraction form or simplify it to the -1?
