Find a quadratic function f(x)=ax^2+bx+c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-intercept 2; x=intercepts 1 and 5

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

did you know that x-intercept is the value of x when y = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know nothing, I just started learning this and I'm so lost on homework. But yes, I do know that :P @lgbasallote

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

im gonna tell you one more thing...the x intercepts of a quadratic function are also the roots of the function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at x=0 from y-intercept you will have c=2 then you will have equations first at x=1 a+b+2=0 second at x=5 25a+5b+2=0 then you can solve for a and b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the point is to find a and b? @El-naggar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sakigirl yes to know the form of the quadratic function you must know a,b and c
