how does a radiosonde can be used to predict future weather conditions in a location?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radiosonde can be used to predict future weather conditions as they can measure or calculate the following variables: Pressure Altitude Geographical position (Latitude/Longitude) Temperature Relative humidity Wind (both wind speed and wind direction) Cosmic ray readings at high altitude Since pressure is the constituent key to predict future weather conditions, thus radiosondes can predict future weather conditions.

Thanks.

Welcome.....as always. :)

how does cosmic rays effect weather??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cosmic Rays are used to study cloud formation and cloud pattern.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but i asked how??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. Here is the explanation. Cosmic ray signals are used to find out solar energy output variations. If the the solar energy output is high, it causes more evaporation and thus there are more chances of cloud formation at the altitude where the radiosonde is placed whereas if it is the opposite, then there are less chances of cloud formation by convection.

ok good enough. . . thanz
