I have an essay on the "No Child Left Behind Act" it was signed by former President Bush in 2002. Would you please inform me of your opinion about this topic. Thank you.

NCLB was largely a financial failure considering the results. Over $50 billion is budgeted to programs covered under NCLB, and even then the state governments may be left to pay most of the administrative costs.

The published results cite scores increasing from 2000 to 2003, but in reality the act didn't take effect until 2003. Score inflation from 2003 to 2005 was proportionally the same as 2000 to 2003.

While the act is clearly a step in the right direction of forwarding education and providing a solid foundation for students to grow upon, the outrageous budget and minimal return make it largely counterproductive.

That's just my opinion.
