OpenStudy (jkbo):

Based on the information in the diagram, can you prove that the figure is a parallelogram? Explain. https://www.connexus.com/content/media/456845-1312011-84434-AM-1789145131.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Opposite sides are congruent. Hence it is a parallelogram.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

opposite sides are congruent and parallel

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so from this result that this is a parallelogramme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If Opposite sides are congruent then they are parallel @jhonyy9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You do not need to say and parallel.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

why in case of a trapezoid the opposite sides can being congruents and not are parallel true ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

eliassaab how do you think it ,please ???

OpenStudy (jkbo):

thanks u guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jhonyy9 the two pairs are congruent. In a isoceles trapeziod, only one pair is congruemt. If you have ABCD and AB=CD and BC= AD then ABCD is a parallelogram. It is trivial to show that.
