how has education and learning evolved historically? might i expect some inspiration from this question...
Dear @arunjchess, Well education and learning has evolved quite a lot through the passage of time. If you have read about the early Vedic Indians, they were the first people who documented what they learnt from nature, which they passed on to their pupils. Education was then about the qualities in life like determination, honesty, etc, but as time passed by these observations in nature were documented what we know today as biology, physics and chemistry. When man started conquering nations they documented strategies by which they could oust the enemy, which today is called military science. But however, I must say, we today are heading towards a world which is studying only to get remarkable scores but instead we must aim at an education which implements experimentation and inculcate values instead of crushing free-thinking under the load of books. With regards, @Arnab_Chatterjee
precisely!! ironically, i am one of those victims of these misconceptions in education ( what i learn during a period of time and how i use it matters most compared to what i remember during exams ) and it hurt me so hard that i lost most of interest in the subjects. i understood that marks are useless...
nice words of inspiration @Arnab_Chatterjee...
