OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

which is true? A)ions are formed by adding or removing protons or electrons B) scientists believe that solids are mostly open space i answered A but my teacher says it's B...arent solids compact???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ions are formed by 'adding electrons to' or 'removing electrons from' a neutral atom so A is false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for B In matters the atoms are bonded to each other forming a solid network, and the strength of those bonds is what prevents solid from moving.so they are compact. But On microscopic and atomic scales, there is lot of empty space in solids that no way to get a human being through in it! so B is right

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

OHHH so that's why :/ darn my teacher didnt discuss it so i picked A as the closest answer haha lol thanks anyway

ur welcome dear
