A triangle has coordinates A (2, 5), B (-2, 8) and C (1, -4). What are the new coordinates if the triangle is dilated with a scale factor of 4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simply multiply each remaining point with the factor 4. for example A (2x4 , 5x4) B (-2x4 , 8x4) C ( 1x4 , -4x4). therefore A= ( 8,20) B=(-8,32) and C=( 4, -16)
