Hint: I just looked on Wikipedia and copied a simplified formula for fermentation: C6H12O6 → 2 C2H5OH + 2 CO2 The details aren't so important -- you just have to know that you're going from glucose to ethanol and carbon dioxide through a bunch of different steps. The question is... do you see oxygen (O2) anywhere on the left side of those formulae? If you see it, you'll know that oxygen is required. If not, it's not.
