What is the y-intercept of y = 0.5(6)x? Question 11 answers 1 x 6 0.5 Please help!

OpenStudy (jackellyn):

@rachelbreezy are you sure you wrote the question right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (jackellyn):

y=mx +b m is slope, b is y intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well if you wrote it correctly then the y intercept is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Based on how you wrote it, there is not y-intercept or rather the y-intercept is 0 because as @jackellyn said, the form is y = mx + b and there is no b.

OpenStudy (jackellyn):

Exactly, the reason is asked @rachelbreezy if it was written correctly is because the answer isn't one of the choices based on what @Calcmathlete said.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i put "x"???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really think your missing a right answer or a +or a - between the 0.5 and (6)

OpenStudy (jackellyn):

that would be incorrect if you put x. i agree with @michelle1503.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no x would be incorrect. to find a y intercept, x=0 , therefore in that equation if you make x=0 then y should also =0. check you question again for any missing characters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I concur.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 0.5
