Reptiles have some specific adaptations that make them well suited to their environment. Explain your answer, discussing the benefits of both adaptations and their relative importance to the species.

I think that internal fertilization is more important. Not only will it ensure the protection for the zygote during reproduction, but it will aid in the evolution of the species as the reptiles continue to produce. Without the development of the internal fertilization, it only becomes more difficult for them to produce. As for scales, it would aid them in extreme environments in order to survive. Survival is essential and the goal for a species; scales also serves as a major benefit. Yet, I believe that internal fertilization is much more important due to the assurance of reproduction.
