Guys Anyone could give up the detail ideas about 'QUANTUM HALL EFFECT'

In general the hall effect simply when a sample of a conducting material is placed in a uniform magnetic field and a current is along the specimen , a voltage is developed at right angles to both the direction of the current flow ant that of the magnetic field .
that voltage is called Hall voltage .

yeah i know about Hall effect in general. But when you come to "Quantum level" I've no idea.

QUANTUM HALL EFFECT is a quantum mechanical treatment of hall effect as it was a break though the classical free electron (Drude) theory .
