Guys Anyone could give up the detail ideas about 'QUANTUM HALL EFFECT'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In general the hall effect simply when a sample of a conducting material is placed in a uniform magnetic field and a current is along the specimen , a voltage is developed at right angles to both the direction of the current flow ant that of the magnetic field . that voltage is called Hall voltage .

OpenStudy (ujjwal):

I don't know much about quantum hall effect but this might prove to be helpful. http://www.nimt.or.th/nimt/upload/linkfile/sys-metrology-248-434.pdf

OpenStudy (ujjwal):

yeah i know about Hall effect in general. But when you come to "Quantum level" I've no idea.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

QUANTUM HALL EFFECT is a quantum mechanical treatment of hall effect as it was a break though the classical free electron (Drude) theory . if you want to know more about that topic it is advanced solid state
