OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 - 13x + 36 x^2 - 4x - 9x + 36 (x^2 - 4x) (-9x + 36) x(x - 4) -9(x - 4) (x - 4)(x - 9) That is your answer. :)

No problem :) Could you please explain how you got it?

You have to split up the middle term in the trinomial. To do that, look at the last term, 36. Find two factors of 36 that add up to the middle term -13. -9 and -4 multiply to 36, and add up to -13. Do you understand that?

Oh nevermind! I got it! :) Thank you very much! Could you please explain what a special product is?
