$$8(8.8 \times 10^{12})$$$$ =(8\times8.8)\times10^{12}$$$$=(8\times8+8\times0.8)\times10^{12}$$$$=(64+6.4)\times10^{12}$$$$=(70.4)\times10^{12}$$$$=7.40\times10^{13}$$
