Points G (-8, -2), H (-6, -2), I (-6, -4), and J (-8, -4) are plotted on a coordinate grid. Which statement is correct about the points? They do not form a square because the diagonals are not congruent. They do not form a square because the side lengths are not congruent. They form a square because GI is perpendicular and congruent to GH and GJ. They form a square because the segments GH, HI, IJ, and JG are congruent sides of the quadrilateral.

@Hero can you help me

@apoorvk

its multiple choice as you probably see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe its D

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Find out the distance GH, HI, JI, JG as well as the length of the two diagonals GI and HJ using the DISTANCE FORMULA. (I told you about the dist. formula the other day if you remember)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its d, :)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Now if all the four sides are equal in length as well as the diagonals, then it's a square. (basically means that all four sides of a triangle are equal in length as well as the two diagonals). And. Yes. YOU ARE RIGHT!!! It is D! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yayyyyyy thank you so much :D i might have a couple questions later but ill try to figure it out and then ill ask you if its right :D

hero (hero):
