What is the measure of angle HLF?
@apoorvk I know you use tangent, right? but how do you set up the answer?
well, if you remember trigonometry, \(\Large\tan\theta = \frac{perpendicular}{base}\) So here, \(\Large\tan C = \frac{AB}{BC}\) Can you use this?
is that right?
Umm, this time you actually blooped. :| Now worries, here's how it's done \(\frac{AB}{BC} = \tan 45^o\) Now,we cross multiply, and send that BC over to RHS: \(or,~AB = BC \times \tan45^o\) Now, BC=12. and tan45=1 so find AB!
Www-wait a sec - what's 'angle HLF'????
45 degres i attached the pic^^
am i right ? @apoorvk
But the figure you attached is named as ABC!
anyways, if angle BAC has been asked, then it is ofcourse 45 degrees by sing the angles sum property of a triangle.
(and also, could you please post these maths questions in the Mathematics forum? Thanks :) )
OMG! sorry this is the question -.-What is the height, in feet, of the portion AB of the lamp post?
yeah, so I showed you how to find AB above, could you go through that comment again please? :)
so im right :))))
@apoorvk
No!!! it's 12*tan45, not 12/tan45 (although numerically they are both same since tan45=1, but you'll get into trouble if the angle is something other than 45 degrees)
gotha ya :)
Yo!
and please post in 'maths' section thanks :)
how do i do tht
