two end points of a line segment are (-12,-2) and (-6,-10). what are the coordinates of the point on the line through which is bisector passes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bisector=midpoint =(\[((x_{1}+x _{2})/2 , (y _{1}+y _{2})/2)\] therefore , (-6 + -12)/2 = -9= x coordinate. and (-10 + -2)/2 = -6 =y coordinate ... hence (-9 , -6 )
