Basically, to find the length of KL, you just need to find distance between K and L. So we turn to the distance formula d = sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2) d = sqrt((7-2)^2+(7-(-5))^2) d = sqrt((7-2)^2+(7+5)^2) d = sqrt((5)^2+(12)^2) d = sqrt(25+144) d = sqrt(169) d = 13 So exact distance between the two points is 13 units. Therefore, KL is 13 units...so you were close.
