Which statement is correct about a trapezoid? It has four equal sides. It is called an isosceles trapezoid if its legs are equal. It is called an isosceles trapezoid if it has one pair of adjacent sides that are equal. It has two pairs of opposite sides that are equal and parallel.

i believe its the 4th one?????? :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

No, the last one describes a parallelogram

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

more specifically, a rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

grrr:/

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

A trapezoid has exactly one pair of parallel sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3rd one :D

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Well A is out because that's a rhombus B is true by definition C is false because you can have an isosceles trapezoid where adjacent sides aren't equal and D is false because that describes a rectangle So it's actually B

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh wait, D is just a parallelogram, and not just a rectangle...but it's still not the answer
