Help? What is the greatest common factor of 24 and 38? A 2 B 4 C 6 D 27 (Thanks<3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wanna say 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The greatest common factor is A. 2, because even though B,C, and D are larger numbers, they do not go into BOTH 24 and 38. 24 / 2 = 12 38 / 2 = 19 None of the other answers can go into both 24 and 38, so A.2 is your answer. :)
