Line segments can't be extended. True or False?

Line segments have have specific endpoints that would correspond to specific (x,y) coordinates on an xy plane. To say that you can extend a line segment AB for instance, when A = (0,0) and B = (4,0) is to say that you can extend AB longer than four units. That is not possible.
