Hey does anyone know how to find the absolute minimum and maximum for f(x) = 2x^(4/5) on the interval [-4, -3]

check the endpoints and the point in the interval where the derivative is undefined.

actually that point is zero and your interval does not contain zero, so forget that noise and just check the endpoints

yeah it is a calculator exercise
you are looking for twice the fourth power of the fifth root of -5
not doing that with pencil and paper for sure
