OpenStudy (anonymous):

your question???????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not able to use equation editor or drawing tool.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how to help you........i dont know the qusetion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To use the drawing tool click on draw button when you are typing a reply like this (look below)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that ... was having some trouble with the browser.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[18^{3x + 4} = (54\sqrt{2})^{4x + 3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take Log for both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u do it now ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just notice \[18=2 \times 3^2 \\ and \\ 54\sqrt{2}=2^{3/2} \times 3^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this looks suspicious, because \(\sqrt{18}=3\sqrt{2}\) but i cannot think of a good gimmick to solve without logs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok gimmick above!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm actually i am still a bit confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Someone please help, I can't bump this for another one hour

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think this is better \[18=(3\sqrt{2})^2\\ and \\ 54=(3\sqrt{2})^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's a good point .....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

54sqrt(2) ***
