Has anybody on this site bought an electronic engineers work bench ? I want to know what kind of materials I should use for my work bench I would like one that is an island stand up and one that would be comfortable to use while sitting in a computer chair.

The workbench itself has no special requirements. Some stuff such as good power, and a good ground is nice to have. The bench needs good lighting for all the small stuff. Many electronic projects wind up having general handyman requirements, so consider that there may be general cutting and sawing and filing on the bench also. I have a stand up desk, and I got a drafting chair so that I don't need two separate heights.
