What ?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

You don't need a calculator... 88/4 is 22...and you know the sign is positive since you're dividing two negative values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He is saying a negative value divided by a negative is a positive. Once you have the negatives gone, it is just 88/4. 4 goes into 80 two times, and it goes into 8 2 times. That is 22. More on negatives and negatives: http://www.khanacademy.org/math/arithmetic/negative-numbers/v/why-a-negative-times-a-negative-is-a-positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-88/-4 = +22 2; -'s = +

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Excuse me, 4 goes into 80 twenty times, and 4 goes into 8 two times.

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

\[-88 \over -4\] first of all cut - with minus & then divide 4 with 88 like |dw:1341193124662:dw|
