How are self-replicating molecules, such as RNA molecules in the “RNA World” hypothesis, essential to the most popular hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth?
Do you have any idea? Do you need the question explained? :)
I'm confused with both.
Okay. :) First, the self replicating RNA molecule is important to understand because basically, scientists believe that they were the building blocks of life. This is because they can store DNA and proteins, the basis for the more advanced cells/organisms that supposedly evolved from them. Does that help you so far?
Yes and no. I dont exactly understand what the question is asking
Okay then; the question is asking how what I just explained ties into the origin of life. I guess you could translate the question into this: "What part do self-replicating RNA molecules play in the theories of the origin of life?" or "How are the molecules important to these theories?" Does that help?
Ohh(: I understand it now. Thanks for the help!(:
You are so welcome! I am glad I could help you figure it out. Yay, teamwork! lol
Haha(: thanks!
