IS there any way to producing high voltage in your body without getting a shock?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess a plain answer would be to ensure that the current that goes throught your body is less than 5mA. Now to be more precise; How many volts would you call high voltage? Also as it's the current that gives the actual shock(I know you might have known that already), there might not be 100% correct answer, take a look at this link http://www.mpoweruk.com/shock.htm for more info. It would tell you a lot more e.g that it matters what part of your body touches the conductor. Safety first as always :)

yes stand on an insulating platform and hold a live wire of a high power supply,a huge potential is developed on our body but we don't get a shock.

never try that !!!

@Madhurima I am convinced with her. Many times we see a picture in the physics book in which a girl touches some large sphere (actually that sphere is vande-graf generator) and her hair flies off (as attached by me). This is due to the reason we got a very high potential and large amount of charge due to which our hair repel each other.

vant hoff generator...
