C++ How to Program (8th Edition) by Paul Deitel and Harvey Deitel

C++ Complete REFERENCE is a very good book. its like the black book of c++

The book by Balaguruswamy on C++ gives very basic idea and is easy to follow. I think this book can eb a very good starting point.

Head First C++ by O'REILLY PUBLICATIONS very good and simple explanations..u will have some images and animations to learn things easily..
