@Kentie && @Vladislav
how do i solve this again ?
$349.20
hows that ?
do you mean 379.20 ? cause what you gave me isnt one of my answers.
@Kentie hw u got 349.2 .... can u pls explan....
is the answer B ?
since, only $150 is deductible from your insurance coverage, you will have to pay 624 - 150 = 474
im not sure... what "deductible" implies here. 474 is what i think.. not sure lol :/
but it also says 80% in the equation.. where does that come in at ?
ughh can someone help me ? /:
sorry,my miscalculation...the answer is $474
@Lil-Bit012 here is the explanation : 80 % of the bill = .8 * 624 = $499.2 but only $150 is available in your account. so.... you have to pay 624-150 @Kentie correct me here if im wrong...
80%=$499.2 20%=$124.8 100%=$624(full payment) $150 is diductable,$624-$150=$474
The $150 deductible means that you pay the first $150 of the bill. That leaves $624 -$150 which is $474 yet to be paid. The 80% medical coverage means that the insurance covers / pays 80% of the $474 and you pay 20% of the $474 Thus, the insurance pays $379.20 and you pay $94.80. Hence, you will have to pay $150 plus $94.80 for a total of $244.80. The correct answer is a. $244.80
