what is difference between equation and expression?

An equation has an equals sign, an expression does not. For example 5x=3+y is an equation. 100x/5 is an expression

Expression is just the combination of one or more terms with no equality and inequality sign in between..

Example : 5x + 3, 2x etc etc..


EQUATION;
Equation is the combination of terms having equality and inequality signs.

For example : 3x + 2 = 0, x + 3 < 2 etc etc
