Three big properties are commutative, associative and distributive. You can usually think this through by the meaning of the words, if you forget which is which. In this case, all of the terms (a, b, c) are in the same location on each side of the = sign. But what has changed, is how you've grouped them with the parentheses (i.e their association), So, yes, it's the Associative Property.
