what would happen if you put soil in water answer below? 1.What did you notice about the way the soil particles sank in the water? How was it different from the way the soil and sand particles sank?

The protists and microscopic worms living in the soil would come out of their cysts and swim around happily, eating bacteria and each other, being fruitful and multiplying. But I'm guessing that's not the answer you're looking for. If you're not sure how soil particles would behave in water, I'd suggest doing a little experiment. Get some soil, get a jar of water, and see what happens.
