I've looked around for a clear explanation for Eddy current, unfortunately all my searches are quite complicated so I couldn't get any idea out of it. Someone care to explain?

OpenStudy (naveenbabbar):

Whenever magnetic flux associated with a metal slab changes a current is there in that slab called eddy currents.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simply ,eddy currents are those produced when a piece of metal (please note: its not a wire) is placed in a region with changing magnetic flux.

Reading naveenbabbar's document... Will respond after understanding the concept. Thank you naveen.
