To answer your question from your message, the OCWs currently don't (I don't think) have deadlines on them, they're for you to walk through. There are other offerings, like Coursera, that do present things more like a traditional class, with deadlines, etc.

@fatine MIT and Harvard have collaborated and have launched EDx. They will offer many online courses. Please see this http://www.edxonline.org/

http://ocw.mit.edu in this site they said that MIT OpenCourseWare is a publication of the course materials that support the dynamic classroom interactions of an MIT education; it is not a degree-granting or credit-bearing initiative. is it just the edX who offers certifications???
