what is realization in probability?

OpenStudy (zepp):

It's if the event is whether possible or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zepp I didn't get it

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

isnt't in when the probability collapses to a single state as a particular possible event happens , say when a rolled dice lands , one of the numerals on the faces is realized.

OpenStudy (zepp):

Example; roll one dice and ask what's the percentage of getting 7, then the realization is 0%, it's impossible.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

oh

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

what am i thinking of

OpenStudy (zepp):

On the other hand, if I have 10 marbles in a bag, 4 blue, 5 red and 1 yellow and I ask you the probability to get a red marble, it would be 1/2, so it's possible to drag a red marble out. Realization: possible.

OpenStudy (zepp):

Well that's how I learnt probability :s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zepp can you please give me an example of generated sigma algebra?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also what is state space?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the state space is all the possibilities

OpenStudy (zepp):

I don't know about sigma algebra, and unfortunately, AccessDenied isn't online, he could explain that to you :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AccessDenied can you please help me?

OpenStudy (zepp):

Yeah, like I said, he isn't online atm
