Think about when you experience internal conflict. Maybe a time when a friend tried to convince you to do something when you knew you really should be doing something else. I would say that @arunjchess is definitely right, but I'd also add divided, conflicted, and unsure.

it depends on what the characters facing within the internal conflict. but most of the time its like they feel sad,confused,enraged,lost,etc.
