I got a different answer, I answered the following question in a practice test and got it wrong. My answer was x^{2}y ^{3}, the answer key says the answer is y ^{2}x^{3} can anyone help? question-=> sqrt{xy}/sqrt{x ^{-5} y ^{-3}}

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You can combine the square roots to get sqrt( (xy)/(x^(-5)y^(-3) ) ) did you have that step?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

When you combine the square roots you get \[\sqrt{\frac{xy}{x ^{-5}y ^{-3}}}\] Can you carry on to the next step?
