Is the equation y = 16x an example of growth or decay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the equation negative or positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If y=1x gives you a perfectly diagonal line that is growing, then 16x should give you a severe growth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it's growth :)

thanks so much(;

Can you help me with this problem to Is the equation y=5(6.8)x an example of growth or decay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do the same method as above. check whether the equation's positive of negative. if it's positive, it means it's growth. negative means it's decay.. as a general rule of thumb.

Yeah, nuk64 hit the nail on the head.
