heh yea that thing went through many different iterations before we realized long descriptions would break everything. I like yr spunk, but there's actually a height set explicitly there that it is probably causing these issues.

and @shadowfiend would have my head if I introduced a class named 'clearfix' that didn't add any semantic meaning to the markup. ;)

We could possibly use pie-clearfix to fix this sucker. That or the awesomesauce that is fabulously huge margins and negative margins that we use to equalize the height of the three dimension columns on the profile page.
