OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the line of symmetry is x = 2 (-6 +10)/2 both the vertex and focus are on the line of symmetry The vertex is at (2, 3) the line y = 8 is the directrix and is 5 units from the vertex so the focus is 5 units below the vertex on the line of symmetry focus (2, 3 - 5) so the focus is (2, -3)
