This one is B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can do this sum.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got B not to sure...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got C.

OpenStudy (callisto):

Arrange the equation in the form ax^2 + bx +c = 0 2x^2 = -12x - 3 2x^2 + 12x + 3 = 0 Use quadratic formula: \[x= \frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}\] Put a = 2, b=12 c = 3 into the formula. \[x= \frac{-12\pm \sqrt{12^2 - 4(2)(3)}}{2(2)}\] \[x= \frac{-12\pm \sqrt{144 - 24}}{2(2)}\] \[x= \frac{-12\pm \sqrt{120}}{2(2)}\] \[x= \frac{-12\pm \sqrt{2^2 \times 30}}{2(2)}\] \[x= \frac{-12\pm 2\sqrt{30}}{2(2)}\] \[x= \frac{2(-6\pm \sqrt{30})}{2(2)}\] Now you should be able to simplify it and get the answer.

Its C :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it right ?

OpenStudy (callisto):

Yup :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YES :) thank you.
