Find the equation from the graph. https://study.ashworthcollege.edu/access/content/group/e4bcd776-749a-49f8-8403-365cad5d3c31/GM%20Exam%206/images/f1q16g1.jpg

A. y = 4x B. y = -4x C. y = -1/4 x D. y =1/4 x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one my guess is B :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it y =1/4 x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

becoz it passes through 4,1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and also through -4,-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ! I see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, look at two points the line is passing through- (0,0) and (4,1). so the slope is clearly 1/4. and sonce it is not scaled there is no constant. it is simple y=1/4 x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

picks two points and use the slope formula it does to the center (0,0) (4,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[m= \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where m= slope (0,0)=(x1,y1) (4,1)=(x2,y2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I got it :) I just got a lil confused at first But thank you. <3
