Think about it: How far below zero do you have to go to reach -0.15? Only 0.15 units. To reach -0.3 you have to go 0.3 units. So, you have to go further negatively to get to 0.3, which means you are actually getting smaller. So -0.15, because you are going less "negatively", is bigger.
