a should be a correct answer. YOu know profitability of being defective is 1.9%. So you just take 2900 *(1.9/100)=55.1-->55 is correct one If the question asks how many # of light bulbs not being defective Then, we have 100%-1.9%=98.1% of not being defective -->2900 *(98.1/100)=2844.9
