which is a hotter color? light colors or black colors? im thinking white because it is the presence of all colors?

what do you mean black/white color? do you mean white as white light (all visible colors) and dark as absence of any color and therefore black (none of visible colors)?

well if you look at spectrum of colors you probably know that blue has more energy than red color but red color is hotter since it is closer to infra red spectrum and infra red spectrum we look as point of heating energy, but yes @Sancy is rignt black is hotter than white cause it apsorbs all frequencies and therefore their energy. white is actually presence of all colors because it contains all colors in its spectrum

white light comes to surface which we percieve as white and that surface has probably bih refractive index and reflects all color frequencies and therefore we percieve it as white, but that doesnt mean that it doesnt apsorb some other (invisible to our eye) spectru, frequencies.
