A box of corn flakes has a square base with sides that measure 7 centimeters in length and the height of the box is 20 centimeters. If V represents the volume of the box of corn flakes this box can hold?
since it has a square base then volume = side x side x height therefore \[V = 7 \times 7 \times 20\] got that?
I kept doing V=20x20x7....thanks!!!
oh haha no wonder :)) well you're welcome <tips hat>
are you available to help with another problem? and explain how i need to do it?
sure why not
ok...hold on a sec. I'm trying to workit out first...then let you explain what I'm doing
sure sure
A right prism has a volume of 65 cubic inches. The prism is enlarged so its height is increased by a factor of 20, but the other dimensions do not change. What is the new volume. V=bh 65=20h
uhmm okay so what's your answer?
I got 1300
yup that's correct :D
really???
yup lol..why are you finding it hard to believe :p
it just seemed like i did something wrong....lol
lol nope you're all clear
