Combine like terms. You may use the properties to help: 6x + 4y − 2x + y

Parth (parthkohli):

\(\Rightarrow (6x-2x) + (4y + y)\) Combine the coefficients.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[= (6x -2x) + (4y + y)\] Add them..

Parth (parthkohli):

It'd look something like: \(\Rightarrow (6 - 2)x + (4 + 1)y \) Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ax - bx = (a-b)x\]

Parth (parthkohli):

Just compute 6 - 2. That is coefficient of x. And 4 + 1 is the coefficient of y.
