Hey @Slim_Tall_16, Well, bacteria are really amazing creatures. One of the most common uses of bacteria these days is in genetic engineering. In simple words, when you need copies of a gene of interest, you just have to insert that piece of gene in a plasmid along with an antibiotic resistance piece of gene, get that plasmid absorbed by some bacteria, plate them on that on an agar contain that particular antibiotic and you'll get your clones. Moreover, as you may know, lactic acid is very important in the commercial world. Well, one of my friends isolated a bacterium, from sugar cane juice, which produces lactic acid and was able to plate these bacteria and get them to produce lactic acid. That was his thesis for his final year. Look for the wonders which bacteria can do on the net, I'm sure that you'll get loads of them.:)
